SKIP

Welcome to SKIP. Central Plateau REAP has developed a SKIP Project to promote the SKIP message of positive parenting and effective non physical discipline.

Radio advertisements featuring SKIP TIPS on parenting will play throughout the year all around the District. Listen out for these on More FM, The Rock and The Edge.

SKIP Parenting Stories will be told in our REAP REPORT once per term which is published in the Taupo Times.

REAP will hold SKIP workshops in Taupo, Turangi and Mangakino one per term per area. Please call REAP to register for a workshop near you. These workshops are free to attend for all parents or caregivers of children aged between 0-5 years. Childcare will be available if required. Community teams have been formed to advise us on how best to deliver these workshops. Please feel free to call us if you have any special needs or ideas on the best time/place for parents to access our workshops.

REAP will be handing out free SKIP resources at local supermarkets preceding each of these workshops. Look out for us!

REAP will also attend at least five community events throughout the year to promote SKIP and distribute free parenting material.

Funding for this project has come from the Ministry of Social Development, Family and Community Services.
