From the north take SH 1to Taupo. Continue south on Lake edge and turn right into Rainbow Drive. Turn right again onto Oregon Drive. Lakedge is No. 14 on left. From south take SH 1 and turn left into Rainbow Drive
Tim and Leone exude the warmth of true New Zealand hospitality. On exploring this architecturally designed and purpose built house, you will discover exciting views stretching across the lake to the Mt Ruapehu ski-field. Every modern comfort is provided in the spacious bedrooms which both have dressing rooms and lead from the upper floor to a deck where the moods of the lake can be observed in peace and quiet. Bathrooms are of a high standard with attractive Italian tiles and quality towels. Generous breakfasts are served in the dining room or alfresco on the decking. Three course dinners are also available. Leone is an excellent cook and the menu may include smoked fish and seafood chowder followed by herb encrusted rack of lamb, accompanied by local wines. Tim and Leone are both golfing enthusiasts and are happy to either arrange games or play with you at Wairakei International Golf Course where they are popular members. Swimming and walking can be accessed from the property which is totally on the lake edge, as the name would suggest. You cannot be any closer to the water than this. Lake Taupo as a holiday venue grew famous from spots like this.
