FAREWELL TO VAL HOOGERBRUGGE

Kia ora.

After over 30 years of service to Central Plateau REAP, Val Hoogerbrugge has decided to step down from the board.

We are indebted to her for her integrity, compassion and vision – and her belief in the good that REAP does in the community.

Val has left big shoes to fill, and we wish her well in her retirement. Below is a special message from Val to the REAP team and the Central Plateau community.

Tēnā koutou katoa.

The role of Central Plateau REAP is to nurture and support the people and communities of the Central Plateau region. I strongly believe that we are so much richer when we live within a vibrant, healthy and positive community. We all have a part to play in building our community.

Significant numbers of learners and whānau are positively impacted every day by the programmes and services the REAP delivers. REAP is without a doubt an important and worthy organisation within the Taupō district landscape.  I encourage you to find out more about what we do, and to join the team the journey. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the organisation grow.

A community is a powerful social structure that nurtures and supports its members.

Community is everything.

He waka eke noa. We are all in this together.
